Banana Boats

Ingredients:

1 banana

1 Tablespoon Chocolate chips

Mini Marshmallows

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2. Slit each banana skin on the inside curve with a sharp knife, but do not cut the banana.

3. Use your fingers to loosen the banana peel but keep the ends together.

4. For each banana, tuck 1 Tbsp. Of chips and some marshmallows along the side of the fruit and skin.

5. Push the skin together and wrap tightly in tinfoil.

6. Place bananas on a cookie sheet.

7. Put them in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.

8. EAT UP!

 

Darn Goods

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Bisquick Mix

1 Egg

¼ cup of Milk

2 Tablespoons chopped candy of your choice.

Directions:

1. Stir all.

2. Fry ½ teaspoon amounts in hot oil until golden brown.

3. Let cool on a paper towel.

4. Roll in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.

5. EAT!!!

 

Puppy Chow

Ingredients:

8 oz. Chocolate Chips

1 cup Peanut Butter

2 cups Powdered Sugar

1 Box Chex Cereal

Directions:

1. Melt Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter in the microwave.

2. Stir Chex Cereal into peanut butter/chocolate mixture.

3. Put mixture into an ice bag with powdered sugar.

4. Shake until well coated.

5. Yum-Yum!

 

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredents:

2 ¼ cups All Purpose Flour

1 teaspoon Baking Soda

1 teaspoon Salt

1 cup Butter

¾ cup Sugar

¾ cup Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla

2 Eggs

2 Cups Chocolate Chips

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Combine flour, baking soda, and vanilla in a bowl.

3. Add eggs one at a time to sugar mixture and beat well.

4. Gradually add flour mixture.

5. Stir in Chocolate Chips.

6. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet with a spoon.

7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.

8. Remove, and let stand for 2 minutes.

9. ENJOY!!!

 

Baked Dough Ornaments

Ingredients:

4 cups Flour

1 cup Salt

1 ¼ Cups Water (May need More)

Directions:

1. Mix Flour & Salt together.

2. Add Water.

3. Stir Mixture.

4. Knead the Dough.

5. Shape into an ornament or a picture frame.

6. Bake for 30-60 minutes. Depending on thickness at 350 degrees.

7. Let cool.

8. Decorate your Ornament!

 

Oreo Dessert

Ingredients:

1 (1 ¼ lb.) pkg. Oreo Cookies

2 sticks Butter

2 (8 oz.) pkgs. Cream Cheese

1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar

2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip

2 (6 oz.) packages chocolate instant pudding.

Directions:

1. Crush Cookies & Reserve ½ cup.

2. Melt butter & pour over crushed cookies.

3. Press in a 9 x 13 in. pan. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

4. Mix cream cheese, 1 container cool whip, and powdered sugar. Spread this over the oreo crust and refrigerate.

5. Prepare Chocolate Pudding per directions on the box.

6. Spread pudding over cream cheese.

7. Refrigerate for 15 minutes and spread remaining container of Cool Whip over the top.

8. Sprinkle the ½ cup of Oreo cookies over the top.

9. Cover tightly and Refrigerate.

10. Yummy!

SERVES 10

 

Patriotic Dessert

Ingredients:

2- 8 oz cream cheese softened

½ cup sugar

½ tsp. Vanilla

½ tsp. Almond extract

2 cups whipping cream (whipped)

2 quarts strawberries, halved

2 quarts blueberries

Directions:

1. In large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and flavorings until fluffy. Fold in whipped cream.

2. Spoon 1/3 of mixture into a large clear bowl.

3. Save 19 strawberry halves and ½ cup blueberries for decorating.

4. Layer half of remaining strawberries and blueberries over cream mixture.

5. Top with 1/3 of cream mixture and remaining berries.

6. Spread remaining 1/3 cream mixture over top.

7. Use remaining strawberries to make stripes of flag.

8. Use remaining blueberries in squared-off upper left portion of bowl to resemble area of the flag.

Ingredients:

¼ oz. Package or ½ Tablespoon Active Dry Yeast

½ cup warm water

1 Tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups of flour

¼ cup flour to sprinkle on your work area.

3 Tablespoons of melted butter.

Salt

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

2. Stir Yeast into the warm water. Add honey and salt. Let sit about 5 minutes.

3. Stir in 1 ½ cups flour to make a thick mixture.

4. Sprinkle ¼ cup flour on cutting board/working area.

5. Knead dough for 5-7 minutes.

6. Put dough in greased bowl and cover with a dish towel.

7. Let dough sit for about 20 minutes at room temperature.

8. Roll out long, thin pieces of dough and make shapes or letters.

9. Put on greased cookie sheet.

10. Pour melted butter over pretzels.

11. Sprinkle pretzels with salt.

12. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

13. Enjoy!

 

Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:

½ cup butter

1 bag Marshmallows

10 cups rice krispies

Directions:

1. Melt butter and marshmallows. Stir.

2. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies.

3. Press into pan, let set for a few minutes.

4. Cut into Squares & ENJOY!

Creative Ideas: Melt a bag of chocolate chips and frost bars. Put ½ -1 cup of peanut butter in with the marshmallows.

 

Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:

1 large Granny Smith Apple

1 Roll of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (8 rolls)

1 Stick of Butter

1 Cup of Apple Juice

1 Cup of Sugar

1 tsp. Cinnamon

Directions:

1. Grease a 9 x 11 glass cooking pan with spray

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

3. Slice apple into 8 slices removing seeds

4. Wrap each slice with a crescent roll

5. Place rolls in the glass cooking pan

6. Melt butter, add apple juice, cinnamon and sugar

7. Heat this until mixed well and then pour the mixture evenly over the rolls

8. Bake covered with tin foil for 30 minutes to prevent browning too much, then remove foil and continue to bake for 15 minutes. SERVE HOT!
